Yes, it’s another one of those random holidays on a random day (our favorite is National Grilled Cheese Day), but we thought we’d take this opportunity to remind you that if you experienced a recent qualifying event–marriage, divorce, childbirth–you may be eligible to get insurance or change your current insurance plan. (Otherwise you’ll have to wait until open enrollment starts on November 1, 2016.)

If you experienced any of these events in the last 60 days, you may be able to get or change your health insurance plan:

-Death in the family
-Having a baby
-Adopting a child
-Moving to a different zip code or county
-Loss of coverage from work or college
-Turning 26 and losing coverage on parents’ plan
-Leaving jail
-Becoming a U.S. citizen

And many more.

If you’re not sure if you qualify, you can always give us a ringy-ding-ding and we can help.

Now please excuse us while we hunt down some grilled cheese sandwiches.
